East Shelby Drive Improvement Project

Collierville, TENN. (COLHS) –  Construction of the East Shelby Drive Improvements Project from Sycamore Road to Highway 72 will begin the week of May 19, with initial work focused on erosion control measures and site preparation on the south side of the roadway.

Beginning on Tuesday, May 27, East Shelby Drive will be closed to thru traffic from Entrance #5 (athletic fields entrance) at Collierville High School driveway to Quinn Road. This closure will remain in effect through August 1 to allow for installation of a new sewer line, approximately 30 feet deep in areas, which cannot be completed safely with present thru traffic. Please plan ahead and follow detour signage.

Impacted Areas (beginning May 27):
• Collierville High School Entrance #5 will be closed during this time.
• No thru traffic is allowed between CHS and Quinn Road.
• Westbound traffic on Shelby Drive will be able to turn left onto Quinn Road.

This work is part of the Shelby Drive Improvements Project, a major infrastructure investment in partnership with the Memphis Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and TDOT to improve traffic flow and roadway safety between Sycamore Road and Highway 72.
