So, this might be confusing. The Journalism Class has recently combined with DragonMedia so that all of their stories are on the website. Because of this recent combination, one of our Journalists decided to interview Addie Bogda, a Senior in the Journalism class, to see what’s on her mind when making a story.
Why did you take this class?
“Journalism originally started as an Alternative Class, but I took it because I originally started from yearbook.”
What are your Favorite Topics to Cover?
“Anything that can relate to my own life like College, Senior Year, and Food.”
How has it been to write for DragonMedia?
“Its been great learning about people and their stories but Research Articles aren’t fun to do.”
How do you make sure your Writing is Professional?
“I try to read the Article multiple times to make sure Spelling and Pronunciation are as good as possible. I’m still only in High School so mistakes are bound to happen.”
How do you make sure your information is accurate?
“For Interviews, there is some Bias in the person interviewed, so if it’s in quotes, then it’s true that they said it.”
Do you want to do Journalism after Graduation?
“There’s a 70% chance that I will try to do Journalism in college, but I definitely want to continue Yearbook.”
What are some things you would like to do with Journalism in the Future?
“I would like to interview Kids because they have some of the Funniest and most Random answers.”
Finally, how can you make your story stand out?
“I can use Quality photos to draw someone into the article.”
Some additional information from Addie is that it helps her to know that Journalism is a very relaxed class and that its ok if there are some small errors.
