Coach Lindsey Vicknair has been a driving force behind the success of the Collierville High School volleyball program for the past nine years. Under her leadership, the team consistently achieves top rankings and reached the Class AAA state championship match in 2022.
Beyond the victories, Coach Vicknair emphasizes the importance of a strong team culture where athletes support each other regardless of their grade level. This commitment to camaraderie extends both on and off the court, fostering a supportive environment that transcends individual achievements.
According to Vicknair, a positive mindset is paramount to success in volleyball, as echoed by her quote, “Don’t play scared, play to win”. She also stresses the importance of effective communication within the team and the need to “step on the court ready to win”. Coach Vicknair’s accomplishments have been recognized with the 2022-2023 A.F. Bridges Female Coach of the Year award for Athletic District 9 by the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association.
