As the school year winds down, seniors are slowly reflecting on their high school careers. So we decided to interview Jason Dockstader, a Senior at Collierville High School talking about how to be respectful, successful, and college plans.
What do you do outside of school?
“I do both Collierville and Community theater, The Chamber Choir as a Bass, and I am a Boy Scout.”
How can you define being Respectful?
“Probably the easiest way to define being respectful is The Golden Rule, Treat Others the way you want to be Treated.”
What are some skills you need in order to be Successful?
“I believe Dedication, Determination, and Persistence are some important factors for success.”
Would you Rather be Class President or a Team Captain?
“I would Rather be Class President.”
Are you going to a College or a Trade School?
“I’m going to a College”
What College is it and What Major?
“I will be going to University of Alabama Huntsville and I will be Majoring in Game Design.”
Has your plan for college changed over the years?
“Yes, I originally wanted to attend Webster in Missouri but I always wanted to Major in Game Design.”
Can you recall a Moment you overcame a challenge, how did it impact you?
“My Eagle Scout project was a very hard challenge, It was a constant string of problems that I was able to overcome. An example that I have is Fundraising due to how many restrictions were on it.”
What is your greatest Achievement?
“When I became an Eagle Scout.”
Finally, What Mythical Creature would you like to own?
“I would like to own a Pokemon because of how much it could benefit me.”
