Pam Nolley is a 57-year-old who has lived in Collierville her whole life. Her family is quite historical with her family being in Collierville since the civil war. Her great-grandfather bought his house in Collierville from the mayor back in the 1800s but the house was sadly being torn down because it was falling apart. But they saved the bricks, and now that house is known as a historical landmark for the Collierville area with the entrance being on Peterson Lake Road. With Pam living in Collierville, she had so many amazing stories that she told me. For example, “I grew up on a dairy farm on lots of land in Collierville! We watched cows being born outside the windows of our house! We had a big lake with snapping turtles and HUGE spiders that I hated!!” She shared two more stories with them being, “Another story- my grandma ran the church library at Collierville Baptist Church since the 1950s!” and, “NOW- there are streets and neighborhoods named after my family! Noley Street and Nolley Plantation! (I loved my grandpa (DaDa) and grandma (MeeMaw) who are now in heaven).” Mrs. Pam works in advertising and owns her own advertising agency. She explained the process of her job with, “I prospect clients, learn more about their business through research as well as conducting a client needs analysis to find out what their pain points are and how I can help them solve it to help grow their business.” She also had a job story about an actual TV commercial. She explained, “I have many stories of clients. One was with a plumber and a TV commercial we were filming. At the last minute we decided to bring his children into the commercial. Adding that one piece to the commercial made it resonate with more consumers, and they got more leads calling in for their services. That commercial still runs today and his kids are almost grown. Just goes to show one tweak can make a BIG difference.” And with those historical and job stories, I asked her anything she would like to add. She added, “Marketing takes a lot of work and many times it is trial and error to find the right solution, but it is so worth it when we achieve the desired results. I have had many of my clients for a couple of decades now.” With her finally stroke of knowledge, the interview had ended and I thanked her very much for her time.
